Anjengo School has a chequered history of 120 years, which has to be remembered along with the history of our remote village of Anjengo and the adjacent areas. The school started only with an LP section in the year 1893. It has since been grown and developed with 1500 students as an institution with the stature of a higher secondary school namely the present St. Joseph’s HSS Anjengo. The condition of old primary section was really pathetic and dangerous.
The teachers and PTA members collected an amount of Rs. 1, 30,000 from Anjengo parish ones. We also got an amount of Rs. 30,000 from our poor children.
